- I'm a lot of things, but for the purpose of this blog, I'm primarily a mother. More specifically, a partnered white queer young(ish) adoptive mama who's first choice for family building was domestic transracial open adoption. (whew!) This blog exists to chronicle my thoughts on mothering and adoption and also my everyday life... As for who's who: I'm Erin (the author), J is my wife, James and Anna are our kidlets, S is James' birthmom and D is Anna's bmom.
